Takada Harutada (高田治忠)
Harutada TAKADA (year of birth and death unknown) was a feudal warlord in the Azuchi-Momoyama period. He was Governor of Bungo Province. He is also said to have been Governor of Kawachi Province. He was from Omi Province.
He served Hidekatsu HASHIBA and participated in campaigns such as the Battle of Yamazaki. In 1585, when Hidekatsu died at the age of 18, he became an immediate vassal of Hideyoshi TOYOTOMI and participated in a campaign in the Korean peninsula. He had a territory of ten thousand koku in Kanbayashi, Ikaruga County, Tanba Province.
In the Battle of Sekigahara, he belonged to the Western Army and guarded Korai-bashi Bridge in Osaka in July to prevent hostages from escaping. He later participated in the battle at Tanabe-jo Castle, and consequently was deprived of his properties and position after the war.
